I thought you could be over the cap by 10% before the start of the season? Or did that rule change under this CBA.

You can, but that 10% overage goes away before you can put Pronger on LTIR.

How is that crazy? Hodgson was one of the bright spots on their team last year and is only getting better.

And unlike Henrique he has produced when he wasn't between two superstar wingers.


Seems like a good deal.

It's pretty fair. Hodgson is just Henrique with less speed and better passing. He'll put up more points but isn't as good at defense.

It's marginal overpayment but not noteworthy.

Yeah, it's certainly overpayment but it's not horrific. He's basically their Henrique, and they got similar deals. Makes sense.

It buys out ufa years obviously it's going to be an overpayment but it's not like it's a great overpayment to where it can be a bad contract so I like the deal for the sabres.

Yeah, not sure why the Hodgson deal makes the Henrique deal look good. They're about the same.

Cody is a liability defensively but has time to grow on that front and is more dynamic than Henrique offensively.
