No it's not. He ABSOLUTELY should not be the starter anymore, but I can't honestly say he's been the worst player on the team today. That said, he's done as a starter.

This game could be used as the passing of the torch game to Cory now. Marty got his game, which was well deserved, gave 6 goals, flukes or softies or not, play the better goalie with Marty getting starts here and there. We have to regroup though. Pains myself and others Im sure to see Brodeur like this.

I'm not saying it's not important, but it's also not the end of the world. We beat the Rangers the first three games, which was huge, because you can configure where we would be had we lost. I wasn't exactly expecting to sweep them. Trust me, I know it's not fun and I obviously wanted to win. But there's still enough season left that this game can become a moot point.

Overreactions? Uh no this whole Marty story today is something bad that has been going on in NJ for too many years now with him and other veterans. They have been allowed to dictate too much when playing horribly and have had coaches fired cuz they didn't want to play for these coaches. One of the coaches went on to win a SC cuz he got players on his roster that wanted to work hard and were hungrier and were younger. Bottom line is this is not just about one game.

Also this is about what we all knew and that is C.S. is a much better goalie now and so can Marty please just fall by the wayside and can Lou let his head coaches do their jobs and play their best players even if vets have to sit?

I would really feel bad if Marty signs with a contender next year, what a horrible way for him to finish his career. He's finally fallen off the deep end
