Elmira NY has announced a new FPHL team called the mammoths 🤦‍♂️ I think this will be a laughingstock for the FPHL it probably won’t last long due to the owner’s history Steve Donner ( former owner Rochester Americans) who sank in standings after being bankrupt.

If you only knew how the last team played and name you wouldn’t be liking the name mammoths

Yeah that was... uh... quite the logo.

Not everyone likes fetishizing cops.
I'm pretty sure fetishizing mammoths is an even less common thing, unless you're married to or in an otherwise-relationship with one or belong to a small club. But maybe it will become more widespread now in Chemung County. :dunno:

I'm assuming they'll somehow make the mammoth have a resemblance to Robbie Nichols???

Being the laughingstock of the FPHL would be quite a feat. I think it is more likely they will be one of the top teams in that league.

Not a huge fan of the name but have to admit the logo and colors are pretty sweet. Donner and or Nichols are both okay in my book. This is a good fit for Elmira and the FHL in my book, great news.

I stopped worrying about them in the early 1990s.
Good answer, we'll get you a Feddie League team and call them the Missouri Misslemen or something lol.

Motor City Rockers are back with new ownership to get the league back up to 10 teams.
I like the logo actually lol. The Elmira Mammoth is starting to grow on me to lol. The Fed will certainly be fun to watch next season.

It looks like 10 teams for next season. All 7 are staying (how is beyond me) and three new teams are joining. I see an east (DHT, WTW, BBB, ELM, DEL) and a West (CRD, CAR, MIS, PHP, MCR) division likely happening. Nothing is ever easy with the Fed so keep an eye out for those July changes

I'm surprised Delaware is staying in, but what is the status for Watertown? Everybody else looks OK considering it's the FPHL.

A quick news article search indicates the Wolves are at the end of a 3-year arena lease deal, so I reckon another extension is in the works considering the team won another Commissioner's Cup. The team's owner @AJohansson is a member here, so maybe he will chime in with promising news.

The team has been sold to a new local ownership group.

And speaking of "laughingstock of FPHL"... It'll be a race to the bottom between Delaware and Motor City.
The Delaware Thunder are the Washington Generals of The Fed. They remain in existence solely to be exhibition partners for the yearly collection of wannabe hockey teams. Teams like Motor City & Battle Creek & Mentor have/had ownership individuals or groups who naively believed they could prosper.
