Fan turn-out for this Manchester series -- WOOF! ~1,200 fans a game and now Game 5 is going to be played in a practice rink 20 minutes away. They're not even sure whether there will be ECHL TV or even an audio feed for the game.

Small crowds - especially on weeknights - are par for the course for the playoffs in just about every market outside of Toledo & Fort Wayne. Minor pro teams rely *heavily* on advance sales and groups and it's difficult to get those fans to come to games scheduled less than a week in advance.

It's rare - but occasionally happens - to have games rescheduled because of building availability. Many of these buildings are booked months in advance and it's difficult to work around playoff schedules. Toledo-Cincinnati was a 1-3-3 series because U.S. Bank Arena had a slew of concerts booked. The Chicago Cougars played a playoff game in a shopping mall rink back in the WHA days.

Before the Fuel (who have scheduling priority), Indianapolis had long had issues with the Indiana Fairgrounds Coliseum in April, because of an annual show that booked the Coliseum for a couple of weeks. In the old ABA days, the Pacers would often have to play playoff games at local high schools (this is Indiana, so that still meant 9,000-seat facilities) when that conflict hit. The local hockey teams have moved postseason games to several other facilities, including the last-ever game in the old CHL in 1984, which was played at the 1,000-seat Carmel Ice Skadium. The USHL's Indiana Ice had to move their first-round games from the Coliseum to Pan Am Plaza - a practice rink in downtown Indy - on a couple of occasions before the Coliseum was renovated in 2012.

The 2nd incarnation of the Cleveland Barons played a three game 1st round series vs the Toronto Roadrunners in a suburban practice rink in 2004. The Lake Erie Monsters also played the final 2 periods of a game that had to be postponed due to a bad attempt to do a "pink the rink" night vs San Antonio in the same facility in 2008. They had to pay to charter the Rampage in for that game.

guys in general anyone have ideas if the monarchs will release some kind of update

The fact that the ECHL has given teams the go-ahead to release their home schedules should give you the update you're looking for. There's often a lot going on behind the scenes we are not privy to, but the league likely would not have given teams the OK to release home schedules without assurance they were 99.9% final.

When you see "tentative," often that means a date might change (for example, Indy & Cincinnati were scheduled for the last day of the season last year, but Indy realized it would be coming from Wheeling the night before and it was the back end of a 3-in-3, so the two teams agreed to move the game to a mutual open Friday in October this year ... and Orlando often has to move several dates after the Magic schedule comes out and bumps them), not that opponents will change.
