Speculation: Mitch Marner has been kidnapped

Has Mitch Marner been kidnapped and swapped out with a player from the OHL?
For the last five games, the guy wearing number 16 has been a complete non factor.
Does his agent still believe he deserves Auston Mathews money or should he be spending his time searching for the real Mitch Marner?

I have been extremely disappointed in Marner.
He wants to be paid among the leagues best but he is not capable of playing against the leagues best?

It can't be just a couple of goons. They have to be players that can skate, play heavy hockey, drop the gloves when necessary, and, chip in a little offense too. You need to have more than just contact and fist skills in today's NHL.

We need a Tom Wilson type power winger and a JT Miller type forechecker grinder to fill out the forward group. Get rid of Marleau, Brown. And find more useful 4th liners and replacements than Petan and the like.

I don't think the leafs have had a physicality problem at all this series.
They just need Marner to play as well as he and his agent say he is.

Mitch still has 2 goals and 2 assists in 6 games. And those blocked shots. Yeah, not a great game today. But he is way down my list of concerns. Way down the list. I think he's easily outplaying his linemates.

What about the $11 million dollar man, Tavares? Marner has been better than him.

Tavares is a bit better, but still not great. Marner isn't even getting scoring chances

Marner is the one with the agent telling the world he deserves as much as Mathews.
He absolutely does not deserve as much as Matthews.
