Honest question; who? There have been players that light up the AHL but can’t make it in the NHL. And there are players that play “poorly” in the AHL and “Light up” the NHL.
(Parenthesis because relativity)
3 even strength points of those 7 (4 PP points). They already play on the power play together.Interesting how both Kap's and Zucc's production went up a lot when they were re-united. Kap had 7 points in 4 games, and Zucc had 6 points in those same 4 games.
So why were we dumb enough to separate them? Who cares about the passing in all directions and the turnovers, those two still produce more than any other duo on this team. But now it looks like Hynes figured it out, and I wonder if we missed the playoffs because of this. Should've just let them do their thing.
He def had a bit more jump than I am used to seeing him from his games in the WJC, and even in those games I was happy. He still isn't going to be a driver of a line but put him next to JEE/Yurov/Kaprizov, he's gonna be fun watching power his way forward and find creative ways of shooting the puck. He's a shooter.Didn’t watch the game much but Ohgren looked like he moved well
Yeah...that's about it, though. Smaller looking than I thought he'd be.Didn’t watch the game much but Ohgren looked like he moved well
About what I expected. Good height needs to fill out. He’s only 20 after all. If I catch him at the ODR I’d be able to give a better scouting reportYeah...that's about it, though. Smaller looking than I thought he'd be.
I still found him quite stocky but could probably add 10lbs over next 2 seasons. JEE was 6'2" 198 when he first arrived in Minnesota - now he's 6'3" 207. At that rate, Ohgren is now 6'0" 187 -> projects to be 6'1" 196lbs, maybe 200lb if he's focused on the power game. He's going to be a strong guy.Yeah...that's about it, though. Granlund is still a very good player. I would love to trade Zucc , Lapanta and a 2nd for him. He’s an upgrade over Zucc for sure
Over the past 5 years, Zucc has scored 280 pts., Granlund 220. MiG will be paid 5M next year, Zucc 4M. On top of that, Zucc has a great relationship with the best player this franchise has ever had, and keeping him around will help to re-sign him.Granlund is still a very good player. Zucc has a cheaper AAV going forward, scores more, and is BFF to Kaprizov.
They're going to trade Rossi...
Yeah it’d be genius to trade a guy who spent the whole year on a putrid PP2 and the majority of his ES time with middling talent. Really maximizing his trade value. If they're smart they will.
I had theorized earlier that Rossi + for Zegras might work, as he seems to be out of favor in ANA, but I'm not sure that Zegras would be BG's cup of tea, even if ANA agreed to the deal. His contract certainly doesn't make sense for us, either.please explain why it would be a good idea to trade rossi and what can we get for him??? currently makes no sense to me.
Hmm.There is various speculation about Rossi. For example:
The Wild Should Target David Jiricek In A Marco Rossi Trade
The Minnesota Wild are thinking about trading Marco Rossi, and the Columbus Blue Jackets need a center. David Jiricek feels like a natural trade target because he could use a change of scenery. Jiricek would bring another element of offense to the Wild’s power play that can use scoring depth. He’...hockeywilderness.com
