Minnesota has a really interesting mix of Fs and Hartman has fit in well, I think this will be a really good situation for both player and team

He's probably tired of being passed around the league. He might actually stay in one place for longer than two seasons. Good for him.

On pace for 37 points this year, good penalty killer and adds some grit to the lineup. That’s a good deal

One of Bowmans best trades...

Hartman was traded to Nashville for Victor Edjsell and two picks that ended up being Nicolas Beaudin and Philipp Kurashev

Fantastic deal for the Wild, Hartman was great last year and even better this year. Has been able to move up and down the lineup and seems to have good chemistry with everyone, more skill there then you might think as well. He’s made comments that he likes it in MN and clearly that came into play when signing this discounted contract, very glad to have him back and solidifying the depth.

Great signing! Thought he'd cost 1M or so more per year, and that MN would lose him in FA. Tough, gritty, and has stretches where he puts points on the board. Drops the gloves when he needs to, but is more of an agitator. With him, Foligno, Greenway, JEE, and now Sturm the Wild have a fast, physical presence throughout the forward group that makes the team hard to play against. He's best at RW, but in the absence of a better option, he has been centering Fiala. You gotta like a player willing to do that, even though it's somewhat out of his comfort zone.

Pumped to have this miserable bastard back!

Isn't he gonna be available for the Kraaken if they should so choose?

Him or Sturm will fight for final protection spot. But so will Dumba and Soucy, so even if exposed he's pretty safe.

His signing makes it pretty clear wild are going 7-3-1, as in order to do that they needed one more forward under contract for next season that meets the games played requirements.

It's the reason the extension happened now as opposed to this summer.
