Not bad, I'd add some blue though. Go with sort-of a reverse Seahawks.

Don't think they could do that with the Canucks up the road, Jamaica. It's too similar. The Totems in green and white uniforms with black and red in the crest would be quite striking. The old Detroit style uniforms are stunning.

I wouldn't mind seeing some variation of the old Hartford Whalers uniforms used :)

Here's the Totem logo on a pre-1992 Whalers jersey. While it's more a Seattle-type color scheme, as someone already pointed out it might be considered too similar to the Canucks.

Personally, I like the color combination of green & black, it happens to be the color combination of the origional Totems, and it's not being used by other NHL teams (the closest might be the Dallas Stars, however their clear dominant color is black). but that's one man's opinion.

And by the way, I already know what the T-Birds colors are: I have their home jersey ffs.

Just posted it for easy reference for other readers, wasn't trying troll.

Grat----totems.....

team slogan: Ride the pole....

Their cheerleaders could be pole dancers....

I've been to at least one hockey team that used to routinely play the song "Porn Star Dancer," so it wouldn't be the most out of place idea I've heard....

I like that.....doesn't strike me as being too close to the Canucks with the green as the primary color instead of the blue.

I'm not a fan of black or the overall trend towards dark drab colors in sports. My first thought with the green-black idea WAS the Stars circa '99 though.

There's enough room for a base of white and green. The Dallas Stars will always use gold even if they go to a primary green uniform. Minnesota Wild uses red, green, wheat, and vintage white.

that totems logo on the Whalers uniforms is sweet btw.

I find it hard to believe that hansen's/ballmer's lawyers did not see/find this.

Just because they didn't talk about it doesn't mean they weren't aware of it. For all we know, they've had conversations with a number of minority owners regarding staying on as partners or buyout options, and I'd honestly be surprised if they hadn't done so.

It'd be no different than the Rangers and the Habs (for example), imo.

We can argue about the logo later: That jersey is excellent and pretty much what I had in mind.

Agreed, and like I said: It's no different than the Habs and Rangers jerseys looking similar, imo.

Blue and green is a pretty distinctive in the NHL where as red white and blue is ubiquitous among sports teams in general. I really don't think you could have two sister cities in the same division with the same very distinctive colour scheme. The Canucks already get enough flack from people that think Hartford owns blue and green. I can't imagine Seattle actually wearing Hartford uniforms! That said those Totems unis are beautiful.

You could make that argument for almost any colour.

The Bruins even tried to do it to the Pens but were denied.

They could use these.

Pretty good! I think the white jersey should use a green Totems logo, though. On the dark uniform, the black logo would certainly work.

Hartford owns nothing. The Whalers are gone and they aren't coming back.....hence they have no need of those colors. If anything the Canucks should get flack for ripping off the Seattle Seahawks old colors

The Seahawks franchise is a few years younger than the Canucks. ;)

The Totems need to do as much as they can to preserve and showcase their history. There's an entire fan museum site dedicated to the Totems, complete with old audio clips and rare video footage. It would be so wonderful for them to join the NHL as they should have many years ago. Several former NHL players played with the Totems at some point during their careers, including Pat Quinn, Bobby Schmautz, Harold Snepts, and Ron Stackhouse. Guyle Fielder, meanwhile, was the WHL's greatest player, and represented Seattle for 16 years.
