Best race for the Art Ross we've since Crosby/Tavares/Benn were all within shot of winning it in their final games. And when you consider the point totals these three are putting up this might go down as the best Art Ross race ever. No three guys have been on pace for such high totals and all been so close to each other in scoring.

Oilers and Avalanche play on the final day of the season. Could come down to that game. Will be really interesting to see what happens if they're both within striking distance in an otherwise meaningless game.

6 more and only Mario and Wayne have more in a season
13 more and he's got a top 10 all time season for assists
18 more and only Wayne has more in a season

If he can get 2 assists per game he's behind only Wayne, since the 1st of Feb he's had 50 in 28 games

McDavid really didn't do himself any favors in this race with his and the team's performances in the St. Louis and Dallas games. The PP especially has been brutal the last 3ish games. Kucherov with 3 more points today against Pittsburgh and as of this time McDavid needs to make up 8 points with only 2 games in hand over Kucherov. He pretty much needs to average 3 points/game from here on out and have Kucherov average no more than a point a game from here on out to make it close. Suddenly Kucherov is in striking distance in terms of the assists race while also having 12 more goals than Connor. It's getting close to the point of tipping our hats to Kucherov for what looks like the 2nd best season of this generation.

McDavid being out with injury means 100 might not even be possible, depending on the injury. Saying "day to day" right now, but its April, so who freaking knows what is actually going on.
