That is not what Portzline tweeted (in reference to asking for Carlsson instead of Murray).

Oh that's not what he said. Carlsson was requested, but it's possible that he was requested IN ADDITION to Murray.

The pieces that the Pens could move would be Maatta, Sheary, Jarry, Gustavsson, 1st, or another prospect. No more than three and maybe only two depending on which ones.

Problem here is Sakic seems to value Duchene as a first line center... Not many teams outside of probably Columbus or Carolina needs that. Duchene on most teams is a number 2 and on others is a number 3 (his aav is pretty high for a 3 tho) so heres the problem... Sakic wants teams to pay for a number 1 center but... Duchene is probably valued as a number 2. Something gonna have to give here soon. You cant start the season with this distraction.

Maatta, Sprong, 1st? As a pens fan, I don't want to get Duchene due to steep price, but what would the pens have to give up. No Guentzel fyi

Blows my mind how some people state their opinions as absolute facts.

Here let me try.

All these trade proposals are a waste of time because Duchene is going to bounce back this year with the avs and sign a new 8 year contract with them next summer. It is known.
