Both nice players but give me Marner.

I knew it was too good to be true...

Aho is better and he's a center so it's a no brainer. (Though Marner is really good also)

If I've learned anything from HF polls it's that if it's close between one player and a Leafs player, whether that player has more or less points, the non Leafs player always wins.

Pettersson, Pastrnak, Aho, Eichel, Barkov > Marner and Matthews somehow.

you forgot Boeser, Barzal, and many others besides. they're all better than any player the Leafs have.

This poll in particular is close deservedly so. But I think leaf fans should stop taking these polls seriously.

There’s more than enough data to prove that statement correct.

This is not gonna be remotely close.

I think I would take Marner even if his salary was double Aho's.
Comments like this are why everyone is voting Aho. Don't be ridiculous.

The answer is Marner, this is a clear example of what Leafs fans are always complaining about with "anti-leafs bias" it's fitting here. It's fitting because comments like those above are constantly flowing.

Currently these two now have statline of:

Marner: 60GP 21G 48A 69P = on pace for 82GP 29G 65A 94P
Aho: 61GP 24G 44A 68P = on pace for 82GP 32G 59A 91P

Considering Aho is by and far the best forward in his team I think that more than makes up the projected 3 point gap. At this point, I'd say Aho is having the better season overall. Crazy how quickly things have changed.

I don't think Marner ever had strong argument. Nylander vs Rantanen in reverse.

Really? Aho and Marner are the same age. Aho is better defensively. Aho doesnt play on a line with a guy as good as Tavares. Aho plays center. Theyre on pace for a difference of about 3 points this year, Aho less points but more goals.

Somehow this is the thread thats true about anti-leaf bias? There is absolutely good reason to vote Aho over Marner, and the defensive play of a center with similar production and less help offensively is a very good reason to take Aho right now. I didnt vote because I think theyre pretty even as players but to say people picking Aho have anti-leaf bias is stupid
