By getting a hattrick in every game on route to a sweep!!!

On the other side that hit taught him a valuable lesson. I've seen a couple players try to take a run at him this year and he's out skated them or physically protected himself well.

I blame myself for the loss, since I was late to the party..
...and just finished the playoff pump for them..

The Marlies had a tough season start.., going through various skaters and utilizing seven different goalies.., but they ended up having a strong second-half and finish.. and they are now headed into the 2017 AHL Playoffs.... (*1st game - tonight - April 20th 2017)...

End Of Reg.-Season Standings:
*2nd in the North Division
*7th in the Eastern Conference
*12th in the League

FINAL 2016-17 REG. SEASON TEAM STATS:
76 games... 42 wins... 29 losses... 4 O.T.L... 1 S.O.L. 89 points...
....with 245 goals scored..... and 207 goals against...

Many of the players had outstanding regular seasons.. and I wish them all the best.. and that this will continue all the way through the
"final round of playoffs"... Some of these guys will be on the next tier of Leafs Rookies.., entering into the NHL..

How is this lineup losing 4-0 to Mac Blackwood?
Sometimes I get frustrated with these two 'tenders we have, they play good to average during the season and come crunch time the bottom falls out.
May as well give Kaka a go..

Missed the game after all, looks like I didn't miss much. Gotta be better in game 2!

Just finished watching the replay and Albany came out hitting. Refs were a little pro Albany. Sparks could have been a bit sharper on the 2nd goal. Good shot but beat him short side.
All in all we played a good game but didn't seem to have a lot of jump in our game.
Other notes Albany seemed to really target johnsson in the 1st particularly and played him very physical for the rest of the game. Johnsson did not wilt but he did seem more cautious than usual.
Also I would like to see dermott on the 1st pp unit. The 5 forwards are good but dermott really moves the puck well on the pp.
