Half of me wonders if the Caps would take back Lehner's expiring LTIR deal, but I guess with Stone on LTIR that wouldn't help the Knights any. (EDIT, his deal isn't expiring this year, whoops.)

Mmmm I get where you are coming from however he was likely to get a same/higher price tag and the contract year season explosion is something that I just don't like the Caps doing.
