In a vacuum, yes.

But it'll be max 2 players per game getting rotated. You can only do so much with the cap and roster.

I wouldn't be pushing Fox right now, but that's just me.

There is an opportunity to do that later in the season. Certainly if someone is hurt they shouldn’t play. But, if they win the division with a 4 or 6 point cushion, they can sit anyone at the end of the year.

They don’t play the last three days of the league year. You could sit someone for over a week before the playoffs start and they would only miss the last two games

I don't mind if A.) you've got things sewn up and/or B.) A player is dealing with something nagging.

But where would it end?

Reminder 5th game In 7 days today. NHL should be ashamed of itself. This is pro hockey.

So anyone jumping off a bridge if we lose today even big. Chill

This thread was not what I thought it would be about.

i would do load management the entire season if it were up to me. definitely not as drastically as the nba, but guys should get nights off here and there throughout the season, especially defensemen. rest is incredibly important for athletic performance.

I want what I want
Isn't Fox engaged/soon to be married? I guess he should keep it to every other day to keep his legs strong. Shouldn't be a problem with all the travel they've been doing though so unless his fiance is traveling with the team, I think no management needed.

....unless he's like Hideki Matsui.

The Rangers play game 82 on April 15th, the playoffs don’t start until April 22nd, play the games.

Lord knows most of us could practice better load management.

CK looks banged up. He and Fox would be my priorities.

Agreed. Especially re: Fox. He routinely plays a ton so I'd like him to get a few games to rest if we can.

Sit him against the Debbies for sure.

If our top players actually deserved load management, sure. The only guy who deserves it is Panarin. Zibanejad, Kreider and Fox have load managed themselves for the whole season, at least it has looked like it.

How many times is Fox going to take this exact penalty?

This guy when he’s tired he’s terrible.

Some guys are so noticeably better after resting (Fox most of all imo) that we should definitely do this.

I would also give Mika and Kreider time off as well.
