Jokerit had again ability to make the opponent goalie star of the game. They had their chances but 1 goal only. Team needs TT back and a true number 1 center with skills.

Also need to come up with better ways to create better scoring opportunities (in addition to the few players with a scoring touch capitalizing on them) and more imaginative powerplay variations. The latter has sucked for a couple of years already.

Aleksi Saarela will be a healthy scratch vs Ilves, Oskari Setänen will start his first full Liiga™-game.

Eteläpääty died five years ago. Then it revived and became better than ever. The current situation isn't good but nowhere near as bad as it was back then.

It was never as good as it's been the past couple of years. Biggest reason was the capos who had the knowledge of the "culture" and knew how to operate the crowd. Almost all of them are gone now. Read on from that thread.

Itse olen aikaisempina kausina ollut aktiivisesti huutamassa päädyssä mutta jos ihmeitä ei tapahdu niin tämä kausi menee yläkatsomossa ja kausarin osto seuraavalle kaudelle on vaakalaudalla. Frustrating start from Jokerit. They have opportunities but can't score and again made the opponent goalie a star of the game. PP looked still bad. Irving is starting to worry me, especially on 1-on-1 situations. Better keep Kilpeläinen as backup plan. Moses looks too alone there and he can't do everything there by himself (Best forward in the team so far) and good to hear TT is coming back soon and hopefully will be center for Moses. Yeah and very weird picks from Lämsä/Valtonen in the shootout. Again.

Maybe TT can set up Moses 10 more scoring chances per game so that he might actually score one goal. Seriously, all that speed and skill, no finish. He might as well be Finnish.

Ugh... With Hjallis running the "show", I expect him to fire Lämsä & Valtonen and replace them with Paska or Heikkilä in a week or two.

Karalahti's open ice hit and studios opinions.. Reminded me about Scot Stevens, but that was cleaner than Stevens head shots. Caught with head down anyways.

What a game by Nenonen (JYP) tonight. Is he always like that? First time I saw him in action and that shot is lethal. Hope he gets other aspects of the game to good form, we need goal scorers, that guy has pretty much what is called world class shot from full speed.

There is no head contact, that's how I saw it at least. Elbow might be slighly up, Im not sure if it's before or after contact, but the point of impact is at the chest of jyp player. Embed video seems to have 360p automatically on, you should change it to 720p, even thought the video is not going to be very HQ even then.

Not very good camera angles so hard to say did he clocked him with the elbow, shoulder or chest but as it's Karalahti, he will probably get suspended.

Losing Koskiranta and Barkov really hurt them. Replacing them with McRae and Plihal wasn't a really good idea.

I can't tell if there was head contact in the Karalahti hit. His elbows look high, but the camera angle is bad. Not that a dirty hit by Jere Karalahti would be the most surprising thing in the world.
