Why would you want to continue? Just re-read the other one, nothing new will be added.

Agreed. Would be nice to at least have a few days rest from this. Really hope Hyman scores tonight and shuts up people until at least the next game.
My hope is this will be a place where it can go and keep it out of virtually every other thread.
Hopefully.

It's probably pedantic of me but I don't think 'Pyrrhic' is the right word to describe his use. Unless of course you're using it to describe the actual discussion of Hyman's use, then just ignore everything I've had to say.

It'd be neat to see The Lightning Rod score tonight and start off the season on the right foot.

Yes the discussion. It was a toss up between that and attrition but I like the sound of pyrrhic better.

He looked awful tbh. Trying my best to like him but he's making it very hard... especially with someone like Leivo in the press box.

He was good on PK though, but Brown was better

Had a minute tonight where I was disappointed in myself - when Hyman took that hit from Buff my mind went immediately to "if he's hurt, Leivo gets to play"

Not his best game tonight but good job on the screen to completely befuddle Mason on the Nylander goal and some good PK work.

It's only game #1, he'll have his moments in the offensive end eventually. Putting up points isn't really what Babs asks of him, although I do think it's a matter of time until Marleau is played extensively on that line.

He was objectively bad 5v5 tonight, spent a lot of the time on his ass

That rush to stop the icing did show his speed off though

Terrible game, probably the worst Leafs player. Stop falling Bambi! Why can't this guy get his balance right? I had to watch this big old guy that should not have these issues at this age wobble last year!?!

had a brutal game unsurprisingly and Matthews seemed to play just fine with Marleau. But obviously the line has to stay together for some unknown reason
