Kotalik was money for like 3 weeks then disappeared and we somehow turned him into an asset, if you consider Olli Jokinen an asset. Prust was legit, though.

Petr Sykora - made his Garden debut on my first ever game their (was traded while I was on the plane flying over), so I always had a soft spot for him. Probably another guy we should have re-signed, Was on 60 pt pace during his half season with us and then seemed to get all the blame for the team sucking in the playoffs

Rico Fata. Unbelievably fast and nothing else. Jamie Lundmark, still don't understand why he became such a bust. Matthieu Schneider, Slats let him leave for nothing and instead gave Vladamir Malakhov a 4 year deal.

Fata was the real-life Luis Mendoza.

Fata will forever be the guy I use as a comparison when I'm talking about being a great AHL player but not good enough to be an NHL player.

Him and Enver Lisin.

That forehand -> backhand -> top-shelf shootout move was unreal. Lightning quick.

Grachev and Buchnevich literally have nothing in common other than being Russian
Yeah it was Grachev. I think what they have in common is being the darling of this board when there isn't really the stuff to deserve it.

Remember the other Petr Sykora? I don't actually remember him, I just remember that he was a guy.

Does anyone remember the really tall guy (6'7?) that played for the Rangers in training camp in 2006 or 2007? He also had a legendary porn stache at the time

I know exactly who you're talking about and it's not Mitch Fritz but I can only think of Mitch Fritz right now.

Also, Chris Higgins

I had a teacher in high school who was 'friends' (I think they were hooking up) with Higgins when he was on the Rangers. She knew I was a big fan and told me one day about their 'friendship.' I remember her telling me he told her the story of when his first NHL paycheck dropped into his account and he was just like 'holy shit.'

It was so random.

The FLY line (Fleury Lindros York)
York for Poti

Cory Cross and Radek Dvorak for Anson Carter

Pavel Brindl

Dan Blackburn would have been a good enough goalie that Lundqvist would've never had a shot if he hadn't gotten hurt.

Buchnevich is hardly the darling of this board. He is also a good, young player. Grachev never amounted to anything even remotely resembling Buchnevich at this stage in his career, let alone potential future development.

I think people forget Buchnevich is only 23 years old. He is hardly a finished product.
