The loans work AHL to AHL team only, as in obviously the guy cannot be called up or loaned to the NHL team in which he is not under contract. Pretty sure that the player has to accept the loan outside outside the franchise. The player can still be called up to his NHL team.

Typically when there is a surplus of one position or too many veteran players that they all cannot get enough ice time. A little more common with goalies.

Good for both teams. He can still be a decent 4th line player and Sharks didnt have to give up assets for depth. Leafs get rid of a contract.

The sharks did give up a asset though that 7th rounder will turn into zetterberg under Babcock! FLEECED

I've always thought Fehr should be better than what he is. Good size, decent skill (especially shot) for a big man. But he just seems so... lethargic out there.
