I projected 2 years at 950k-1M but the 3rd year definitely brings it into the 1.25-1.35M range

I wanted him at 1.1 for next year (if it was a 1 year), but to get him at 1.35 for 3 years is fantastic and well worth it. Now keep him in the lineup Keefe.

Its a great signing for the Leafs , solid value. He will still be young enough at the end of this contract to get paid good bank if he performs well.

That mullet and goatee combo alone is worth half the contract. You know they're a solid hockey player when they look like a Lumberjack from the 1970s.

McMann and Benoit extensions had to be done. Give the Leafs a couple of cheap players and roster stability going forward.

Yeah, with the cap going up that extra .35 is fine. Looking at what Schenn got and then seeing that number...that makes me smile.

This is the beginning of the "New" Leafs. You can see the Skelton of the new team.

Trev was smart enough to know "we need defencemen that can protect our goalies"...Benoit's part of that.

I think this is a good signing for the Leafs but things are still going to be tight for them next season. The cap is going up a little over 4M and they have already committed over 7M in raises to Matthews, Nylander, McMann, and Benoit.
