Think after that miracle Stolarz save the moment became too big for Matthews. The team just played a joke similar to the last few minutes of the Detroit game trying to force it to him.

I really blame Keefe for spoiling the great energy of the pursuit with his nonsense talk after the Detroit game.

Don't think 70 happens anymore. The energy has kind of been ruined and they have bigger business in Boston.

Really the worst example was Rielly forcing the pass to Matthews when he had a wide open shot in the second. Florida went off after that and that could arguably be the turning point of the game.

Maybe taking a hard line with him not getting that personal mark might make him more hungry in the playoffs.

Anyway, despite killing them all, the panthers surged off the momentum from the early 2nd period powerplays and we just never got back to our game which is really disappointing

The refs basically took the air out of the tires for the Leafs. Woll did them no favours either. I think when they got a whiff of the Boston Ottawa score the mission was clear.
