He might have missed it but I asked @Machinehead if he had Brodzinski's entry numbers.

I suspect that he's been carrying the load there. If you're going to replace him, they need to do so with someone who can continue doing that.

An upgrade would be nice, but it needs to be an upgrade on what Brodz is already bringing to the table and not someone who is completely different aside from perhaps someone who is just a retrieval monster.
I'll have to look around

It’s amazing how “he’s had an awful season 5-5,” yet is a plus player.
With the name Reijo29, you've obviously been a fan for awhile...I'm curious have you felt a player deserved criticism or actually criticized a Rangers player yourself? How did you feel about Willie Huber while he was here? How bout Tom Poti? Were they unfairly treated?

Any Ranger fans that don't think that was goaltender interference on the 3rd goal?

How the heck can the refs let a player skate into the goalie's crease and stick his stick under the goalie's skate as the goalie is going accross the net to try to make a save.

Only in the bush league NHL. You can't make this stuff up.

No I do not think it was. His stick blade was in the net as I saw it, not under the goalies skate. If Kreider tripped him up and kept him from making the save, then sure, should be goalie interference, but it didnt look like it to me on the replays. Also didn’t look like it to the officials either apparently, though sometimes I think they are wildly wrong. Hahaha.

I do not know if this was mentioned previously but CK is close to setting a new personal high in assists this season already.

"I'd like to show the jury exhibit A-K.

Goals scored by the LA Kings in the 2014 Stanley Cup Finals vs The NYR. Clearly in these MANY examples, the goaltender, Henrik Lundqvist in these cases, was not allowed to perform his task as a goalie. He was not allowed to make a save due to physical contact from the opposition. Yet...

The goals all stood. LA won The Cup & no one said 'boo' about it.

Your Honor, the defense rests its case"

I thought his stick got in the way of the goalies skate as he tried to slide across but I dunno, maybe they thought his stick was in there because he was bumped by the defenseman or something. I was kind of surprised to see it stand because I thought you could see the skate hit the stick and slow down in its path across to the post

Yeah, that would really piss me off if that happened to my team - in the finals. At the end of the day I'm not claiming systematic bias against one team.

I just wish the league would have more integrity. I get it they want scoring up. But you don't do that by allowing the goalie to be interfered with when he's trying to make a save. And by the way, I don't only complain about it when it happens against my team. I complain about it for every team. The selective enforcement of goaltending interference has been a joke. But this is a league that publicly stated: "We don't want to have universal suspesion lengths for transgressions, because if we did that then star players may get long suspensions and be out for too long. That would hurt our bottom line."

Eh, it's been better lately but the Rangers are significantly below .500 in terms of calls from Toronto this year. You won't find much sympathy here.

Maybe the highlights reel doesn't show it and I can't remember watching last night but it did not look like many were emotional with Kakko when he scored. Were they up so much that it would look bad? Mean anything? I just got a weird feeling watching the highlights, but maybe live feed was different. Did anyone notice?

Not true. Any goal scored on a delayed minor penalty negates the penalty, regardless of on-ice strength.

Delayed penalty.
Goal negates delayed penalty.
NYR continues to be shorthanded, 4 on 5.
Goal is challenged.
Unsuccessful challenge results in a MTL penalty, teams now skate 4 aside.
NYR penalty ends, Rangers PP 5 on 4 when Trocheck exits box.
I believe this is correct. I really hate the rule though. A delayed penalty shouldn’t be treated as a power play. In my humble opinion.

Yeah to me seemed more like not celebrating a “blowout” (even though they weren’t up by that much)

Not sure we'v seen a better, just flat out filthy pass than Zbad's last night.

That shit is like porn.

I also loved that Laf move to the net. It didn't pay off but this version of Laf is just night & day from what he was.
Kakko had a couple really nice aggressive moves. I hope he keeps it up.

Absolutely true and probably a team with four line like that one would win a ton of games.
They don’t score a ton but they limit the opponent amazingly well.
I think most people here get that it’s an effective line. But style wise they play like a great matchup/third line as opposed to a flashy first line.

I recommend taking a glance on the Habs GDT (not all of it lol, just around the goals). Might be a bit of enlightening read for some here. On topics such as shitting on Mika, trading Kakko, youth production etc. Like, for a comparison of the state of things.
