Could some one please post the training camp lineups tomorrow. The Fronts treat it like it is top secret.

Training camp is open and we're now less than 24 hours until the first scrimmage game and we still don't have rosters... horrible

Roster is finally out

Interesting they have Alec Belanger listed as (D/FWD) - I think they're gonna give him a deep look at C this year

One more post - I just realized Maddox Callens isn't on the roster, and based on the post on the Frontenac's website, it seems like Linus Hemstrom is wearing Callens' #93 - even though Callens is listed on the Fronts pre-season roster and Hemstrom is listed as #90. Anyone have any insight? I know he battled through some injury issues last year.

Edited to add - he's in the training camp videos they posted to Facebook/Twitter yesterday, so I'm even more confused at what's going on...

One more edit - according to his billet family on Facebook he's still recovering from shoulder surgery - so he's there, just not on the ice

Some thoughts from this morning's scrimmage -

Belanger spent the entire scrimmage at C - not sure if it'll be permanent, especially with the Del Monte pickup, but he looked solid

Battaglia was on a line with Poole and Heyes and didn't look out of place, decent speed for his size and seemed to use his size well.

Hache was taking runs at players all game long, he flattened a couple guys with hard clean hits, looks like he's really gained some strength.

Stewart and Burns got really heated towards the end of the 1st, they looked really close to dropping the mitts.

Thibodeau looks like he's grown a couple inches, he still could do with adding some muscle but he definitely looks more solid

I liked Miller Kay, looks like a potential energy line guy, not afraid to go into the corners, scored a nice goal crashing the net .

Gabe Frasca made a gorgeous pass on Hemstroms goal, tape to tape straight across the ice.

Anyone know what happened to the Del Monte trade? Both teams deleted the tweets, it's not up on the ohl website and the fronts removed the lost from their website

Watching us get beat on Sunday makes me wonder if there was any regret on overplaying the top 6 last year. Not much development for the others. Not sure what they doing with Thibideau, power play penalty kill, the kid can skate, I'll give him that, but as soon as someone makes a motion to hit him, he stops dead. Small and weak on the puck. The Battaglia kid looked pretty good, our import looked ok. He looked way better at camp. Frasca will take a bit of time to adjust, but certainly will. Brooks on the PP also? Hughes too?? I would say Stewart got the least amount of ice and that Caputi must hate him, because he had him serve a penalty in the 3rd. No rookies on the bench for that. And he had a good game, noone goes near him, I saw him challenge Stonehouse a couple times, no response. Anyway, I hope we can get going, it is only training camp.

Belanger may be a place holder for Wright. I think there is still a lot of thought that he will be back. For howe long no one really knows but I would expect him to get a couple fo NHL games and then come back. It is also going to depend on Francis and what he think s of Caputi.

Realizing that mav is long gone rest his soul but the owner is the same one that fired Cassidy because one of his boys was not happy.

How secure is Caputi and what do they have as a back yup.

caputi is not ready, they think the backup is a stud but he is very, very questionable.

I appreciate the report.

I would say though that Brooks has to be tried on the PP, at least in preseason, given that they used a 2nd on him in what was considered a strong draft. He should be a centering the 3rd line based on his credentials (age, draft position). Not sure he will or not though…

Ya not being negative, but just some observations. Draft position and age suggest he should , but history, compete level, and ability to win pucks, not so sure. They can all improve,

Looks like it's officially up on the OHL site -

KGN 4 2025
KGN 2 2026
KGN 3 2026

I'm still of the mind they should sell this year, so hopefully between an Arcuri trade and possibly something for one of our OA D, maybe even Haché they should be able to recoup some of these picks.

seems like a good trade for both teams and the player. I like that the player and picks stay in the eastern conference

Kingston has had some really bad trades in their history. This might end up being one of the worst!
He'll be a far more effective player this year. One year older, more opportunity to succeed. He's got size, he's a strong skater but needs to work on being a little more courageous. He might just surprise you!!! I wouldn't be shocked if he does.
