He’ll put up 50 points. I don’t really like this deal for barrie.Frontenacs Acquire Ryan Del Monte In Trade With Barrie – Kingston Frontenacs

19 y/o center, 21pts in 35 games last year, don't know much about him otherwise but C was a weak spot so this was a much needed move.
Some thoughts from this morning's scrimmage -
Belanger spent the entire scrimmage at C - not sure if it'll be permanent, especially with the Del Monte pickup, but he looked solid

Belanger may be a place holder for Wright. I think there is still a lot of thought that he will be back. For howe long no one really knows but I would expect him to get a couple fo NHL games and then come back. It is also going to depend on Francis and what he think s of Caputi.
Realizing that mav is long gone rest his soul but the owner is the same one that fired Cassidy because one of his boys was not happy.
How secure is Caputi and what do they have as a back yup.
I appreciate the report.Watching us get beat on Sunday makes me wonder if there was any regret on overplaying the top 6 last year. Not much development for the others. Not sure what they doing with Thibideau, power play penalty kill, the kid can skate, I'll give him that, but as soon as someone makes a motion to hit him, he stops dead. Small and weak on the puck. The Battaglia kid looked pretty good, our import looked ok. He looked way better at camp. Frasca will take a bit of time to adjust, but certainly will. Brooks on the PP also? Hughes too?? I would say Stewart got the least amount of ice and that Caputi must hate him, because he had him serve a penalty in the 3rd. No rookies on the bench for that. And he had a good game, noone goes near him, I saw him challenge Stonehouse a couple times, no response. Anyway, I hope we can get going, it is only training camp.
Let's see if this one goes through or if it falls apart like the Del Monte tradeOutwater to kingston from north bay

He'll be a far more effective player this year. One year older, more opportunity to succeed. He's got size, he's a strong skater but needs to work on being a little more courageous. He might just surprise you!!! I wouldn't be shocked if he does.Kingston has had some really bad trades in their history. This might end up being one of the worst!
