This was probably a thing that was very hush hush. How many people outside that locker room do you think knew this was going on? Very few is my guess. Yet the guy manged to sniff out something that no Kings reporter was able to get. Yes, obviously that his story was flawed, how exactly could he had confirmed it? So many people shat on his story. Yet soonish is was semi-confirmed. There was a problem. And right now none of us really knows how serious it was. It's in the past and I really don't think anybody in the Kings organization would say "oh crap, yeah, things were really bad, blah blah blah". You do damage control, play it down. People will forget. The team is past it.

This does not negate the fact that Brooks found something that noone else could.

The Kings don't have reporters. The closest we have is bloggers who have no more insight than most people on this board. If we had been in market where isn't about 18th on the totem pole of sports worth covering, this story likely would have been out much sooner.

And did he find something no one else could, or something no one else would report on because its not nearly as big of a deal as he made it out to be.

Regehr was on TSN 1050 earlier today and said they had a closed door meeting just like he's been part of on many other teams.

If you get past the wack intro song, it's not a bad rendition. Not great, but entertaining anyway. And not that far off historically. Well, except for Bat Masterson being an adoring teen heart throb!

People are still talking about this? Players only meetings are not new to sports. Especially when a talented team is playing below their standards. Sounds like a lot of creative license added to a simple situation.
