I take this as Gorton is hearing what people have to pay to get a C (or in MTL case, can't seem to find a way to pay) and is willing to listen. Go ahead and make us a crazy offer, and we would take it. Anyone thinking we are going to take a lateral move is mistaken, this will take a BIG over payment.

I don't see the Flames as being great trade partners for Hayes. They don't have much in the farm. I'd like Adam Fox and Sam Bennett coming to New York, but those two obviously wouldn't be enough for Hayes. I also would imagine that Rasmus Andersson is untouchable. My guess is the Flames would have to include a boatload of picks, including a first rounder next year.
