I assume you posted the wrong video.

But Mike Smith has an undisclosed injury. Pretending to be injured because your pride is hurt would be a suspendable offence similar to what Drouin did, so that isn't plausible. And the team wouldn't be calling up and paying another player with that motivation either. I believe there are rules about publicly declaring a player injured.

I don’t care about Gillies being recalled. But STL isn’t an easy out. That team has lots of snipers, the potential for him to get lit up is there.

Yup, the 36-year-old with an injury history who plays one of the most physically taxing sports in the world at a professional level isn't actually injured, just faking. Ever heard of Occam's razor?

Go find another goalie now, I'm telling you, Smith's groin is cooked and the risk of injury if and when he comes back is at a higher level than ever now. How many let in beach balls from the blue line does Tre need to see before he acts. This team can contend, don't waste that opportunity by not having at least average goaltending. Rittich has been great, but expecting him to shoulder the load now is foolish IMO.

Treliving is pretty on top of things when it comes to assessing needs. Wouldn't be surprised if he had started calling about goalies a few weeks ago.
