Lol no! Perreualt is EXACTLY the type of player you need on your roster to win a championship. He's a guy who because of his playing style has instant chemistry with almost everyone, you can plug him anywhere from line 1 to 4 and he will produce for you no matter what. He's been really noticeable on the ice the last couple of games and he's one of those glue guys that help create balance throughout the line up. Good teams need guys who can produce on the bottom six of your lineup not many players do it better than Frenchie.

So whos missing from the photo?
Little, Dano, Matthias, Buff, Poolman, Mason, and Bucky. Am I missing anyone?

Im not suggesting anything Im just curious who is who
We end 2017 leading the central division in points.

The team travelled with 22:

From left to right starting up front:
1) Wheeler, Ehlers
2) Myers, Chiarot, Laine, Connor, Trouba's hair, Copp, Morrissey, Hendricks
3) Kulikov, Lowry, Melchiori
4) Poolman(?), Roslovic, Perreault
5) Armia

Missing:

Little, Matthias, Dano, Mason & Hellebuyck not to mention the coaching staff. To me it looks like there's only 16 seats in view with Armia caught coming from the toilet.

Is this Perrault's last year as a Jet? He is too expensive for a bottom 6 player. So hopefully they'll win it this year as Perrault deserves to sip out of the cup.

MP won't be going anywhere next year.... hopefully he finishes his career here.

Next year we might get pretty tight to the cap but....

We have a about 25 Mil in cap space for next year if the cap goes to 80.

We have Lowry, Armia, Dano, Tanev and possibly Hendricks to resign for forwards

On D we have Trouba, JoMo and Poolman, I'm guessing Toby is done.

In goal we got Helle.

I'm guessing around 4 for Helle and a total of 14ish for all 3 of our Dmen.

That leaves about 7 mil for our forward group. Lowry and Armia will probably chew up 5 mil. Now we got 2 mil for the left overs....

Easiest solution is to move Myers in the off season and we have another 5.5 to play with.

I don't think it is that simple. The year after that you have Connor, Wheeler and Laine. You have to make plans to make cap room for that.

Jets will definitely move one of Trouba, Buff or Myers this offseason. Way too expensive to keep all three.

It does get tricky then.

We could also be looking at an 83 mil cap by then.

It won't be easy but probably doable. Sign wheels for 4 years around 7mil and bridge Connor for 3 or 4 years.

We may have to move on from the Copps and Armias of the world to make it work and fill the roster with elcs.

So we have a mil to spare as Tanev will be less than a mil.

Wouldn't replacing Perrault with Rossi save a lot of money.
Csw
Ell
Lemieux roslo armia
Clt
Trouba mo
Buff kuli
poolman and cheap option.
Helle and cheaper back up. Comrie/hutch

I guess with mason and Myers off the book you save enough money to keep Perrault for
Pra line. You don't need the most expensive backup if your running Helle this much.

Somewhere nice
Perrault is not a 4th line player.
He is in the 4th line due to the depth and to assault other teams bottom 6 :)

He will become the best corsi player by the time his career is over if he stay and feast on the 4th line :)

Of course Chiapet he is a LD and Buff is a Rd. Benching him for a rookie makes the dressing room uncomfortable while Poolman will be less likely to get grumpy.[/QUOTE]

Chiarot is very used to the press box.
Shouldn't be an issue.

I actually don't think so. This offseason isn't the problem, it's the one after that.

Will Perreault outscore Ladd this year? For a million less per year and you dont see MP pouting when he's assigned to the 3rd or 4th line. Thanks Chevy.

From a salary cap perpective, you’re correct, but if you are planning on not retaining Myers, you’d probably want to recover some value by trading him this offseason.

I would expect that our defense corp gets settled this offseason, which will largely depend on how the Trouba contract works out.

I would rather Poolman but dollars to doughnuts Chariot will get the call.

Is 4 million a lot for a 4th liner? I mean I doubt if he will get much chance in the top 6 with Ehlers, laine, chef, wheeler, connor, Little.

difference between good and winning team is, winner has a great 4th line

also deep playoff run will eat team like a hell, wouldn't be surprised if Perreault plays 1st line at some point of the playoffs

as a Jets fan obviously you have no previous history or knowledge from either one..

Perreault was excellent signing, ultimate depth player, makes this team lot better and his salary is correct

Colorado pretty much has top line in the league right now with Mackinnon on fire. Should be interesting and good test to stop them.

Don't be fooled by Colorado's record this year. They've been playing really well lately, and this will be a grinding type of game. Could go either way, but I think the Jet's win by 1 goal, could end in a tie as well.- "shootout"
