Ranked by PPG of players actually playing center. Last column is total points by centers. Puts Winnipeg at 24th overall in the league.

Still not good enough. Need to be top 10 to make some considerable noise in post season

I like this stat better which might explain the scoring.
Power plays opportunities
#1 Nashville ...... 74
#4 Tampa ......... 70
#31 Winnipeg ... 51

Winnipeg would probably have more PP opportunities if they didn't spend so much time standing around watching the other team play.

Like I've said else where (I'm going off of memory on the exact numbers) I want to see Little without a PDO of 95.5 and an OISH% of 6.5.

I think it is not just a center problem. The Jets are 27th in GF/60 at 5on5 (1,98). Just below Detroit (2), and above only Vegas, Arizona, Anaheim and LA. Sheifele is the best Jet with 1,67 points/60 at 5on5 and he is 172nd in the league among players that have played at least 60 minutes.

Chevy picked up Stastny at last years trade deadline and no one predicted he would , i remember all the TSN guys not remotely talking about it until the trade was announced . I have faith that whatever we need Chevy will get it , quietly .

Jets have the best wingers so it evens out. And better defensemen than Toronto and Pittsburgh.

Very true. Looking at the top ten teams in the list in the OP (plus adding a random few other teams), this seems to be born out in the numbers:

TeamPts
WPG70
SJ70
WSH69
COL66
BUF65
VCR65
BOS62
PIT59
FLA56
TB54
CGY54
PHI50
TOR40
EDM39
ANA37
DAL35
ARI29

Perhaps those teams should address the scoring of their wingers. ;)

Do you think our star goal scorer 29 will score 15 goals if it werent for the powerplay this year?

Probably because he’s had some of the team’s highest equal strength numbers in the last two years. Don’t see any reason why this year would be different.
