Injury Report: Jared Spurgeon (Partial Hamstring Tear, Out at least 4 weeks)

Anyone have any experience with this injury or know about player recovery? Is a week and half a decent amount of time before game time? Or are ppl expecting that he's gonna be laboring / slow?

I have no idea about the injury itself but by the time the playoffs start next Wed. it will have been four weeks from the injury right? Even so I bet he won't be skating at 100%.

Well, Russo's article made it sound like they're pretty much expecting him to play in the playoffs. A healthy Spurgeon would be a nice boost.

Russo and LaPanta had a lengthy discussion on Spurgeon's injury on KFAN (9-Noon) on Monday. They projected maybe game 1, but would be probably smarter to wait until game 3. However, not sure if additional information has come out after that discussion.
