If it is straight up with Johanssen, the money is basically the same, 3.875M vs 4M (NSH retaining 4M already) so there would be no retention imo unless COL adds a mid pick

Apparently RyJo has been really bad. I don't think we want RyJo for Allen straight up. So hopefully there's a pick coming our way.

As much as I liked RyJo in his prime, I didn't like Hemsky when we had him past his prime. We don't need another washed up vet taking away a spot in the top 12 from our young guys.

Ryjo for Allen has the makings of another Monahan type steal. Same term and Cap hit pretty much between Allen and RyJo

I realize he has been trash. But just imagine for a second a situation where Johansen turns it around and elevates his value for next TDL. We could retain at TDL next year for 2 mil total and who the hell knows what we get in next years market.

I'd be down for that, even if RyJo sucks.

He can fill our 3rd/4th line centre spot for the next year and a half.

From what I've heard about RyJo, I wouldn't want RyJo straight up. I don't want him blocking a young guy.
