See I knew I was leaving out an obvious one.
So that makes 7 guys including all players Conroy has gone out to get. Wonder who's the odd man out.
I dont get the hate for rooney, hes a 4th line C, we dont have any C that can come up and do what he does.
I disagree. Almost any player can do what he does.
I don’t even think he does anything, does he?
We dont have a single C after him, hes also on the top pk with backs, so no def not anyone can just slot in there.
We quite literally have other C’s other than him, I’m confused with this point.
People on here make PK sound way harder than it is - Coleman, Sharangovich, Mangiapane - all guys that could easily slot in there.

Ideally this keeps gilbert in the pressbox the rest of the year
as wingers, faceoffs are a big deal on the PK

Looking at the FA market for 4C options, and Rooney was probably going to be the best available.

Maybe the problem is your comprehension of what you're seeing. Because a perfectly fine 4c, if he was better he wouldn't be a 4th liner

No he is not and I am entitled to my view. If you are perfectly fine with that anchor, I am pleased for you. Maybe we have different expectations what a good 4th liner should look like.

1+1, -5 in 30 games as a Calgary Flame, awful positionally, below average on FO. Yeah, he is an anchor. Absolute trash.
I think we need to see the 3 new guys play a bit before we can say one is ahead of another.
