If we have say 50 Liiga-NHL players per year, but spread them to 15 teams or however many they have these days, it’s too many to give them enough tough games. Best vs best raises the skill level and quality, so A,B,C SM-Liiga should be less teams to concentrate the talent and raise the skill levels
