"Oilers backup goaltender Stuart Skinner was not on the bench for the game as he was feeling ill. According to Oilers general manager Ken Holland felt well enough to attend the game, but it was determined best for him not sit on the bench to keep from infecting other players. Desharnais has been bed-ridden with the flu for the past few days according to Holland."

Sounds like the flu bug is making it's rounds. Too bad this couldn't have swept through during the all star break, but they're going to need to get through it.

Yup, at least they’ve been collecting loser points while pushing through this

Klim Kostin will also not return to the lineup Sunday. The illness that kept him out of Friday’s game also kept him off Saturday’s flight to Colorado. That is really too bad. After a bit of a quiet spell Kostin was back to being very effective against the Red Wings, one of his best games in a couple weeks. But it is what it is, and the Oilers need a temporary replacement for him.

Not blaming him but watching the play that led to it, he looked a bit unaware. Hopefully will play with a bit more awareness when he’s back. Needs the time down in the AHL anyhow

Bakersfield update from Chaulk from his interview with Stauffer:

Holloway - at least two weeks, maybe not much longer. Not severe

Savoie - expected to be back in a week or two
