Yeah, this was a game we easily could have won. I don't generally believe in puck luck but this was one of those games.

Hey, we may have lost this game, but in the morning, after the afterglow is gone, they'll still be the Leafs. I'd rather lose a single game in the regular season than have to be a Toronto Maple Leaf.

They scored on 2 of their first 3 shots, but one was basically unsaveable and the other was a tipped shot that hit him in the face and came down for a rebound. 3 and 4 were soft.

Husso didn’t have his best game while Murray looked solid. Refs pocketing the whistle for the first 40 minutes didn’t help either.

Great game by the rest of the team. If Detroit brings that intensity to the rest of the games this season they’ll win more often than not.

At least the team played hard until the final buzzer. It had the looks of another 8-2 game early on, so at least they didn't fold.

Well, they just didn't have the finish. Seider with a goal and an assist. Hard to be angry, I'm def annoyed because you always want to beat the Leafs.

Ned gets sometime and hopefully gets confidence, Husso looked human. But hopefully he just shakes it off.

On to Buffalo wednesday who I really want to beat after they embarrassed us.

Agreed. Put the foot to the pedal until the end, just hard to come back against top teams. Liked their effort.
