Meh, Demers isn't bad. But I'd rather take a huge swing and a miss on Shattenkirk then just go for guys who are marginal upgrades.

Only succesful defensive rebuild is to draft and develop new 1st defenceman.

Nobody is gonna trade it for us.

Don't want either back. I'd love to get rid of Ericson, but that wont happen.

I think Russo will be a stud, and should get a shot next year. Ouellet too.

so we're looking at:

#2/3 Kronner-#5/6 Marchenko
#5/6 E-#6 RR
#6 XO

& that's if Kronwall plays like a #2 next year.., but probably a #3 with his age, decline, partners, injuries, system, TOI, sub-par PP & PK etc
