With Bozak, JVR, Lupul, Clarkson locked in long term, and likely Kessel and Kadri to follow, how can any prospect break into our top 6 in the next 5 years?
We have so much money invested here, that it leaves me wondering what's gonna happen with guys like Colborne, Gauthier, Biggs, Leivo, Ashton, etc. trying to break in to the top 6 in the coming years?
This would be a problem if we had top 6 prospects ready to make the jump.
Yeah, we pretty much don't have to worry about this because we have no one who is ready or capable to jump up to a top6 role. This would be a problem if we had top 6 prospects ready to make the jump.
Tyler Biggs anybody? But I'd rather have a top 6 worthy players and the prospects push them.... Just he way everyone else gets it. Don't just get it handed to u

Its probably a good thing we dont have a single legitimate top 6 forward prospect. A couple 2nd-3rd line tweeners, but thats about it.
If you cant displace Bozak or Clarkson from a top 6, you dont deserve to be playing top 6 minutes. One averages like 45 points a season, the other around 30.
Leafs don't have any prospects that project as top 6 forwards in the system.
Better suited for bottom 6 roles based on skill set.
We have no top 6 potential prospects...
agreed. This would be a problem if we had top 6 prospects ready to make the jump.
