This rotten cast of Kessel, Phaneuf, Reimer, Lupul, Kulemin, Bozak, Kadri, Gardiner, Franson, etc. has been in place since all the meltdowns of a couple of years ago

All the meltdowns a couple of years ago?

JVR - Bozak - Kessel
Lupul - Kadri - Raymond
Kulemin - Bolland - Clarkson
D'Amigo - McClement - Smith/Holland/etc.

If the Leafs had a healthy forwards corps akin to this, scoring goals and winning games would be a lot easier. There is a willpower and discipline issue with this team, but the amount of injuries has been far above what Nonis may have anticipated. Just poor luck.

Lupul-Holland-Kessel
Jvr-Kadri-Clarkson
Raymond-Mcclement-Kulemin
Ashton-Smithson-Damigo

I think this lineup utilizes the speed this team.

This organization has been incompetent for a long time now. Doesn't develop players, overpay free agents

I think a lot of people expected too much from this team

It's not too much to expect your team to make the playoffs once or twice a decade, is it?

JVR - Holland - Kessel (~ 20 mins)
Lupul - Kadri - Clarkson (~ 20 mins)
D'amigo - McClement - Kulemin (~15 mins)
Raymond - XXXX - Leivo/Ashton (~5 mins)

Gardiner - Phaneuf (~25 mins)
Rielly - Gunnarson (~20 mins)
Don't - Care (~15 mins)

Trade Raymond/Franson/Fraser/Liles as soon as possible for anything... more reliable players (Gleason or dependable 2-way forwards with some grit) or prospects/younger players with higher potential. I don't see any of those guys in our long-term plans.

Edit: Trading Raymond + for a good 3rd liner or a guy with some offensive flair could really help... When healthy we'd look like this:

JVR - Bozak - Kessel
Lupul - Kadri - XXXX
Kulemin - Bolland - Clarkson
D'amigo - McClement - XXXX

A bit risky, but trading Bozak + Franson for a top 4 Dman and putting holland as our #1C could help... depending on the Dman we get back of course.

I really don't understand... are Bozak/Bolland so important to our team? Because we should be much better than what we're showing.

5 minutes? You think 5 minutes a night will do ANYTHING for Leivo's development?

Applause for you sir.

Fire all of leafs management. The coaches, gm, scouts, whoever the hell else is up there. Then hire a new president, let him hire the entire organization and work from there.

they literally just did this, i dont think its gonna help.

JVR - Holland (maybe better chem than kadri) - Kessel
Lupul - Kadri - Kulemin (former 30g scorer)
Raymond - Mcclement - Clarkson (this line has some speed, grit, and 2way)
D'Amigo - Smith -Maclaren

D

Phaneuf-Gardiner-plays big min and now defensively better
Gunnerson-Rielly
Franson-Liles -liles more positionally defensive than franson and can cover his mistakes with speed.

speed is on every line now.

I would like to see Kadri put back with Lupul, they showed flashes of some excellent chemistry last year, and you don't need a hockey genius to tell you that their skill-sets mesh very well together. Once Bolland and Bozak are back (whenever that is) i would like to see

JVR-Bozak-Kessel
Lupul-Kadri-Raymond
Kulemin-Bolland-Clarkson
Bodie-McClement-D'Amigo

First line can produce very well, can be pretty streaky though. Second line is terrific backup scoring, and that 3rd line could potentially be one of the best in the league. 3 very good lines once were healthy.
