TV ratings trump travel and geography. It's all about having as many of the prime local start times as possible.

NBC is currently scheduled to air 'local programming' on the afternoon of the 19th. Should be switched to a doubleheader of PHI/PIT and then this game, with 1 or 2 games on NBCSN after.

We are in trouble if they start off with 12 of their first 14 games on the road with a 11 game road trip.

Not if they win. Think about it, when is the time to take advantage this season? Clearly, the beginning when teams are shaking off the rust. We can only hope and pray that the Hawks players were keeping in shape better than average. They are mostly young, afterall, so they should have. If we clean up on this road trip, we'll have games at home when they matter more and there is more competition. I think this is a good thing. We just need to get 7 wins.
