Mission: Be there when the draft starts this year.

I6WSLjn.gif

Well, 47 minutes late, I was finally able to start drafting my team. Auto-draft was... well, it was somewhat friendly, albeit not the guys I would've picked.

Your Saskatoon Stickers this year:

Marchand - Monahan - Oshie
Parise - Hischier - Panik
Teräväinen - RNH - Strome
Zacha - Kesler - Ennis
Haula

Keith - Byfuglien
Werenski - Ristolainen
Brodin - Spurgeon

Price
Allen
Howard

FVM

This does not please me.

My right wing depth is laughable. Apart from that I'm pretty happy with my draft. Roster should have some potential. Love that I got Laine and no regrets at taking him 3rd overall!

Double Yellow Liners

Panarin - Scheifele - Tarasenko
Aho - Carter - Nylander
Rakell - Schipachyov - Granlund
Marchessault - Rask - Toffoli
Rantanen - Dadonov

Matheson - Dumba
Severson - Stecher

Darling
Raanta
Luongo
Varlamov

I'm pretty happy with how I did. I actually managed to bring back all three of my keepers from last year, Panarin, Carter & Tarasenko. Steady producers.

Didn't care too much about the D as I always end up dropping and adding D like crazy. Also I waited until the middle rounds to add a couple of goalies. Luongo I just had to pick later on after Reimer was picked. I still think Lu will get more starts.

My last pick I used on Varlamov. Never planned to have four goalies but he's a quality netminder and a #1. Can't go unpicked Avs or not.

Oh yeah and I predicted Dadonov to turn out the steal of the draft. Got him at 177 oa. We'll see.

Good luck guys.

Glass Cannons

Jake Guentzel - Tyler Seguin - David Pastrnak
Matthew Tkachuk - Leon Draisaitl - Jakub Voracek
Max Domi - Bo Horvat - Radim Vrbata
Marcus Johansson - Jonathan Drouin - David Perron

Connor Sheary

Nick Leddy - Jaccob Slavin
Matt Niskanen - Dmitry Orlov
Alex Goligoski - Mike Green

Cory Schneider
Henrik Lundqvist
Marc-Andre Fleury

Team doesn't live up to its name this season. Sacrificed some forward depth to grab strong goaltenders. Really happy I picked up Fleury as late as I did; he'll be a workhorse in Vegas. Took a gamble on Guetnzel & Domi; I hope they blow up for 65+ points this season. Didn't pick up any defensemen until really late. Went for decent point production, paired with good +/-. (sans Goligoski, Green, Leddy)

BREAKING: Rumor has it that Hyvinkään Jää-Ahmat is trying to get TJ Oshie from Saskatoon Stickers. As Saskatoon Stickers isn't very deep in the middle with Kesler injured, Jää-Ahmat is trying to take advantage of having a lot of center depth and is dangling Ryan O'Reilly as a trade bait for Oshie. We'll see how this story develops.

I think ROR > Oshie overall.

But it could be a toss-up when it comes to points.

8 points last night with only 5 active players.

Draisaitl, Guentzel, and Voracek were money.
