Nah I’m good. Please stop saying yoffs.
Outproduced almost everyone you listed over the past 3 yearsWhat has Marner done to warrant being over Huberdeau, Panarin, Gaudreau, even Tkachuk or Ovechkin?
People also forget he provides a great 2-way game for the level he produces at. Marner is an elite PKer with excellent defensive abilitesOutproduced almost everyone you listed over the past 3 years
Marner: 186GP - 71G - 160A - 231P(31-71-102)
Huberdeau: 204GP - 73G - 181A - 254P(29-73-102)
Panarin: 189GP - 71G - 178A - 249P(31-77-108)
Gaudreau: 208GP - 77G - 145A - 222P(30-57-87)
Tkachuk: 207GP - 81G - 127A - 208P(32-50-83)
Ovechkin: 190GP - 122G - 77A - 199P(53-33-86)
Huberdeau and Panarin are the only ones who are close, Panarin being ahead. Looking at playoffs between the three closest regular season players
Marner - 19GP - 2G - 14A - 16P (8-60-68)
Huberdeau - 20GP - 4G - 14A - 18P (16-57-73)
Panarin - 23GP - 7G - 11A - 18P (25-39-64)
All three struggle to maintain their scoring and fall off a large margin
if you want to argue Huberdeau or Panarin then fine they have the argument, but the others are no where near Marner

Combine that with his comparable production and he's a good vote here
How on earth is Mariner drawing so many votes?
He should be behind at least 3-4 of the players on this list.Because he is a 100 pt two way winger?

I wouldn't have a problem with someone voting Marchand here, he's a great overall wingerFair enough but Marchand might produce slightly less and bring more 2 way play and grit and playoffs he still excels.
In these polls I'm taking the guy who I think would be the best player in a one year league throw everyone in the pool redraft and Marchand is the guy I want here if I want to build a SC winner, Marner and several others are better left for fantasy leagues.
Give Marner Gaudreau's linemates in those down years and he'd struggle at least as much.Gaudreau doesn't have the consistency. He's capable of producing like an elite player, but he's only done so twice (3x if you count just barely topping PPG in 17-18). I'd easily put Marner ahead of him.

He elevated bozak to his most productive season. By a whole 6 points. In 20 more games.Perhaps go back and look at Marner's rookie year where he helped elevate established veterans Bozak and JVR?
When did he score 100 points?
So.... No.If you look at his last 4 seasons he is a 100 point player per 82 games played, it's not a small sample either.

He's certainly capable of 100 pointsIf you look at his last 4 seasons he is a 100 point player per 82 games played, it's not a small sample either.
But this is right now, not a whos better in 12, 24 or what ever amount of months you want.I think if they were younger, Kane and Marchand would easily be doing better in this poll. And if you go back even farther in time, then Ovechkin would obliterate the competition. But father time is real, and this is a pretty difficult decision at this point. And I think the poll shows that. I decided to change my vote to Marchand as he really hasn't fallen off that much yet that I've seen. But he's at that point where he's likely to see a decline.
