HAMILTON BULLDOGS

This is how I see the lines set up this year with a couple of veteran
D added before the season starts

Bournival Nattinen Blunden
Andrighetto Hudon C. Thomas
Bozon St.Pierre Leblanc
Quailer Holland Tarnasky

Fournier MaCaulay Duffy ECHL

Beaulieu Nygren
Pateryn Ellis
Dietz

Tokarski Condon

Mayers Delmas ECHL

Hudon is in the Q, Bozon in the dub. Too young for the AHL.

2. Andrighetto
3. Leblanc
4. Nygren
5. Beaulieu
6. Duffy
7. Fournier

I agree with all of these choices, I can't wait to see them at the Habs Pre-season Camp and in the pre- season games. The Bulldogs should be exciting with the addition of Stephane Lebeau as their Offensive Coach, I assume they will be playing the up tempo checking attack game the Habs play now. Lots of hockey with both AHL/NHL and no Lockout, it's going to be a busy year with all the prospects in the CHL as well.:handclap:

What's your take on Kristo - Thomas trade ?
I've never heard the name of Thomas before, beside his dad.

Christian Thomas is a fast skater, talented with a good wrist shot and a non-stop motor and will power to match. How's that compared with Kristo and his carefree attitude, party character. Seems that Bergevin knows what he wants and hard working, passionate winners are the players he cherishes.

Pretty sure St-Pierre at least plays on the top 2 lines. He's our best offensive weapon right now.

I've never heard the name of Thomas before, beside his dad.

Christian Thomas was a highly touted 16-year-old 1st round pick of London in the OHL billed as small but very gifted offensively. He started out well, but when the Knights wanted to acquire Tavares and Del Zotto in January, Thomas had to be shipped to Oshawa as part of the package.

For the remainder of his OHL career, he was a deadly sniper who could score 40 goals in his sleep (topping 50 fairly easily too).

Still under-sized and a bit of a shoot-first mentality, he could stand to learn a lot from Gallagher. If he keeps his feet moving and stays engaged, he'll make things happen. If he stays stationary and looks for the one-timer he'll be a one-trick pony on the PP. This is where Lefebvre/Lebeau earn their money.

that may be the worst line up i have ever seen proposed. St. Pierre on the 3rd line, Blunden on the 4th, Holland on the 4th, Nattinen hasn't been a center in Hamilton at all. But the top line may take the cake, 2 rookies with Tarnasky, yikes.

Thanks Montreal the lines in Hamilton haven't stayed together much more than 4-5 games in the last two seasons. When did the Bulldogs or the Habs say which line is their 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th, which is more my point. Defence pairings are different, but that's likely to vary at the beginning of this season too. Do you think anyone could do worse?

I’ll give it a shot :

Bournival – St Pierre – Thomas
Blunden – Holland – Leblanc
Tarnasky – Nattinen – Andrighetto
Quailer – MacAuley/Duffy – Fournier

Beaulieu – Pateryn
Nygren – Dietz
Thrower – Ellis

Toakrski
Mayer

The D needs a steady vet Left D that can play with Nygren to bump Dietz down to the 3rd pairing… Not too fond of having 2 rookies iand 2 one-year exp. players in the top 4!

MacAulay

Switch Nattinen and Quailer based on performance but I don't have much faith in Joonas. D pairings same but Ellis with Nygren for experience + Dietz to play with Thrower for familiarity even if they didn't pair up in Sask. If Tinordi is back, Thrower to Wheeling/Vancouver/7D.

Thrower should go back to Juniors and play with Hay. Greatest thing for him.
