3 game suspension for Sherk.

I figured that it would be something like that. It was definitely a hit to the head that resulted in an injury.

Was expecting 2, not surprised by 3. Really exposes the lack of depth/age at C when he is out.

It really does.

While he drives me crazy with his overhandling of the puck, he really brings a lot of things. His zone entry, compete level, size and strength are things that they really miss.

I think the consortium has something up their sleeves in terms of a tenant or the build. There's simply no reason otherwise to be starting this renovation and alienating the current tenants just as their seasons are about to start.

What that is, I don't know, I've stated many times I don't particularly care for the developer as he has made promises during past developments that he never followed through with, and that he's tried in the past to have a Casino built in downtown Hamilton, much to the objection of the majority of residents down here who understand, the only way you turn around downtown Hamilton is having people living there, and no one wants to live next to a Casino.

I've speculated he may have some kind of in with the Marlies, although again only because they apparently sought out Tim Lewieke to be involved in the process. It may be another half baked NHL bid, and that they have some crazy idea that the NHL is going to finally look the relocate the Coyotes if their current bid for another arena fails and somehow the Leafs and Buffalo are suddenly not going to knock it down, and Houston, Quebec and Kansas City magically don't exist. It may be now that the council seems to have rejected the Commonwealth Games that they'll find some way to weasel out of things. It may be they fully intend of giving Andlauer a sweetheart deal when the dust clears.

As far as the arena though, I thought part of the plan was to put a lot of emphasis on closing up the top bowl to a degree and having chunks of it's seating taken out to be basically convertible luxury boxes. That said, I don't see that knocking it down to 10,000 which I'd say is the max size for an OHL arena. Really, save for London, Quebec City and maybe Calgary, as far as I'm aware, most CHL teams simply can't draw those kinds of numbers. It should be better for OHL hockey, but still too large.

Heard from a fellow fan in Jackson Square today that someone in the team is going to try and work on possibly getting a shuttle bus organized for fans in Hamilton that want to make the trip to Brantford for games.

I'm not going to name any names, but I am familiar with this particular "someone", so I'm inclined to believe it.

Alls well that ends well I guess. Great move by Brown.

I don't think that they played particularly well, but to get 2 pts when you're down 3-0 after 2 periods on the road is pretty sweet.

Was a weird game for sure...

Hamilton outplayed them by quite a bit in period one. The second frame saw Erie capitalize on scoring chances and Lalonde was playing incredible through two.

Two goals in the first like minute thirty in the third and Lalonde lost his confidence. The team skated ok, but you could see Hamilton was the team with more composure and experience as the game progressed.

OT was decent, and then the shootout it looked like 2 of your 3 shooters were just insanely calm as they scored. I'm sure if the first guy would have made it out of the center circle he would have scored as well.

Lardis is by far our most talented player imo, but he misses a lot of breakaway oppurtunities. Nothing like what happened to him last night though.lol

Just couldn’t get much going vs the attack.

I really like everything about Panwars game. It’s a shame the Pete’s gave up on him. Hope an NHL team comes calling.

Watched bits and pieces of your gamr last night. Panwar keeps going, holyhe is showing the petes up. Goalie seemed to have an off night last night for yyou. The Okitundu seems like a real pretender, had 2 opportunties to fight Stewart, but as most pretenders do, didn't show up. Roberts came int o fight Stewart and did ok, Okitundu after pausing just long enough not to fight stood by and yapped at Stewart after he fought Roberts. For all the yapping he does to have 33 PIMS in 50 games is embarrassing. Good luck to the Bulldogs, hope they do well in the playoffs

Team really had a hard time moving through the NZ and the defensive trap last night. Really wish they showed up physically before the game got to 5-0.

The garbage at the end with shooting the puck down the ice during the other teams celebration has happened twice recently and it's already getting old.

Usual suspect on D did not look great. Doesn't help the bottom pair when he has to slide in to the lineup.
