You can say basically the same thing about Bowness and the Jets. A lot of people were expecting a collapse by them this year.

You can say the same thing about a post Bergeron, Krejci and Hall Bruins.

He turned the Jets from a terrible defense in 21-22 to average in 22-23 when he took over to elite in 23-24 with basically the same 6 dmen. Got the forwards to buy in defensively.



Besides that streak they're also 2? games back from the Wild for the modern NHL record for 3 or less goals against, having not given up more than 3 since November 2nd, 33 games ago. And that Wild team did it the year Benn won the Art Ross with 87 points.

What? The Flyers were supposed to be one of the 1-3 worst teams this year. They only have one top line player and their best Dman played like a #5-6 last year. He is probably a #3 on most teams. They don't have a 2C and their 1C missed all last year and never was a 1C.
