I've been meaning to congratulate you: Henrique is leading the OHL playoffs in goal scoring, I do believe, and Boughner and Rychel have described him as Windsor's best player. So that's definitely a deal that's working out well for both parties - fair value, both teams getting what they needed.

But yeah, I'll always have a soft spot for Washington. :sniff:

I was fortunate to fall into your first franchise here and get on your good side. Especially after dealing St. Louis for virtually nothing. :sarcasm:

Hey I'm just having fun here. Cocky???...anyway... I will be greedy that's true. I don't think the Flyers need to be a easy trader. Each team are in different positions. Example the Ducks don't need to be greedy they are backed by a prospect list that any gm will dream of and alot of teams like that and guess what I'm not in this teams. It's easy to talk when you got a team full of prospects (quality). My team got maybe 3 good prospects so each movement I make should be good for my team and if some of you don't understand that... can do nothing.

And Matt where your picture of Michael Jackson eating Popcorn?

I haven't really looked, but how can you not have any good prospects? Before you arrived the Flyers were a perennial contender with a ton of very good players - as you have torn down this once respected franchise piece by piece, have you not got any prospects in return? At least the former GM left you with three 1st round picks.

Not just three firsts, he's got 8 top-60 picks over the next two years, so the prospect pool will get a lot deeper and better quickly, if Al is careful (and a little lucky) at the drafts. Plus he has got 4 or 5 decent-to-good prospects highlighted by Bobby Sangs. IIRC, Philly's farm system was pretty tapped out.

Interestingly, those prospects currently include a goalie or two, to add to Al's depth at the position. So it will be interesting to see how his strategy of hoarding goalies plays out. He's made several deals during his tenure, but as the cupboard gets more and more bare, I can understand the feeling that you need to hit a home run with each remaining asset. So what will happen first: will GMs be desperate enough for goaltending after Free Agency to start paying Al's prices, or will he see the values of some of those assets decline next season if they struggle early?

It's fascinating to watch, I tell you what.

I agree, it will be interesting to watch. And I can understand his temptation to completely rebuild when he took over, as you want to make your mark. But at the same time, it was still a very solid team with cap room that already had three 1st round picks for this year. While getting the top pick is no doubt a boon, he certainly could have reloaded at this draft while still being a contender. There is no perfect answer, but just thought I'd throw that out there, as he inferred the franchise was in disripute, which is hardly accurate. For the new GM's stepping in, it was one of the better situations I'd say.

And my point about the prospects was simply that he has opted for quantity more than quality (although some very good mid-tier prospects, to be sure). But getting either Hall or Seguin is certainly a big move, so that will bode well for the future.

Do I need to pull out the padlock on this thread, boys?

Besides, we all know that the Habs fortunes turned once they called up PK Subban. ;)

I Know Alvaro , and he is a tought custumer , but i think that every one here has higher value on some players and they know its a bit higher then they there real value. Hey thats called fan favorites. I for instance if i would catch David Perron in some sort of way i wouldnt move him for nothing not cause he is THE BEST , but i played with him a couple years back.

I love shopping for trades !

Interesting observation of Alvaro, I see him more of a marketing manager trying to get most out of his assets. He made the same sales pitch for Huet and Harding before he traded them over to Blues and Rangers. Nice work Alvaro:handclap:

That's odd because as far as I know we're post trade deadline, and you can't trade players until after the season is over, and it's not, and the DoPP office is closed.
