- Price gets 5 or 6 year contract extension. Thinking $9M AAV gets the job done and makes both Price and the Habs happy.

- Radulov signs for 5 years at at $6.75M AAV. Lots of money front loaded and another signing bonus.

- Galchenyuk gets a 1 year prove it deal. I prefer the long term deal but I think it will be a 1 year deal. There is also a 50/50 chance he is traded if we can get a potential #1C who is similar in age and we get the value we deserve from Galchenyuk with his offensive skills and how he is entering his prime years.

- Markov re signs for 1 more year at $4.5M ($5M max IMO).

- A trade will happen. We will be getting a top 6 center.

Price won't be extended, Galchenyuk and Beaulieu will be traded, Radulov will move on, Bergevin will make the team less talented, sign an over the hill C to a dumb contract and we'll all be watching another year of soul-less garbage hockey.

- A trade will happen. We will be getting a top 6 center.

Habs absolutely have to get better up front. Because the best offensive team has now won a cup in back to back years.

We have the best goalie and that hasn't been good enough. Trading Galchenyuk or Pacioretty for Fowler or OEL or all these crazy scenarios being dreamt up by fans should not happen.

The defense core is good enough look at the defense that just hoisted the cup.

Now getting a top 6 center is the most important acquisition this team can make. I just hope that Anisimov and Hanzal aren't the answers.

I'm very realistic. There is a very slim chance we win the Cup. However, I do believe in this core and our ability to get better offensively (especially at center). Circumstances will have to be in our favor if we manage to get to a cup Final. Look at the Sens, they were 1 OT goal away and their roster is not that much better than ours. The problem is the Pens!

Some say tear it a apart and rebuild? I think we will be getting a mini-rebuild in 5 years (+/-). I just think we owe this core a chance at getting better from within and also with additions through trades or free agent signings. In truth, a complete rebuild is also risky and we may not get to the level we are today for a very long time! So many focus at the successful rebuilds but don't realize how many are still rebuilding after 5-10 years and they are no better than where the Habs are today

Montreal
Habs sign Thornton 2 years
Habs re-sign Radulov 5 years
Habs re-sign Markov 2 years
Price is extended for 7 years
Habs trade Beaulieu in a package for a 2C. If not they try and sign E. Stall

Sadly Lefebvre is resigned to a new contract and I boycot all Rocket games even though I live 5 minutes from the Bell Place.

Julien keeps current assistants. Maybe an assistant coach is replaced but no overhaul.

Bergevin signs 1 depth defenseman. I believe however the youngsters will get to play this year. McCarron, Hudon, Sergachev, Carr etc...

We do indeed draft a C with one or our top 2 pics.

Habs make it official and keep Galchenyuk as a winger after signing him to an extension.

They lose Plekanec to Vegas in a deal made with them to chose Pleky at the expansion draft for a free 2nd round pick + prospect.

Habs start the season as is:

Max Pac - Thornton - Galchy
Lehkonen - Stall/Duche - Radulov
Byron - Danault - Gally
McCarron - Hudon - Shaw
Martinsen - Mitchell

Markov - Weber
Emelin - Petry
Jerabek - Benn
Sergachev

Price
Montoya

That is a much better line-up. I'm good with all of your moves except for Sergachev. He isn't getting moved. Especially in the same off-season as Beaulieu. Sergachev is now what the organization thought of Beaulieu (a young LD who can skate and grow to take Markov's spot). With Beaulieu not having lived up to that hype, it is now Sergachev in that spot.
