The first month will be interesting with all the new blood, Bunting, Kase, Kämpf, Mrazek, Ritchie and especially Sandin and Liljegren.

You can't read too much into training camp but the Leafs looked like a good cohesive team lacking maybe a bit of high end talent over the past week and a half. Which is great news because we have high end talent and we just need to marry the two together.

Can't wait to see how the goalie split works out. According to my Yahoo app, Campbell will get game 1, and Mrazek will play Thursday.

This line-up without Marner, Mathews & Mikey is a wee bit concerning.

I honestly think it is still a pretty good roster, but I am also pretty high on Kase and Bunting, but ya, any team that loses their two best players would probably at best be a middle of the pack team.

Edmonton without McDavid/Drai
Tampa without Kucherov/Hedman
Colorado without MacKinnon/Makar
Florida without Barkov/Huberdeau
Boston without Marchand/Pastrnak

Leafs have really good depth

Lol where did you read that garbage? He cried to the trainer for 5 mins then ran off crying

There's video of it happening? It was linked in this very thread. That's why he was skating around after the hit and got pulled away. Are you planning to be this disagreeable and whiny all season?

If Marner is out tomorrow too I'd like to see the Leafs go 11-7 and try a modified 2-1-2 where Sandin is the high D/ extra forward with the 4th line guys and Dermott/Liljegren as the D. Allows Sandin's defense not to hurt you while also giving him the chance to jump into the rush.

Would also give them all decent 5 on 5 ice time and you could run Dermott-Liljegren after a PP where Sandin played and either Sandin/Liljegren or Sandin/Dermott after a PK depending on who of Liljegren/Dermott is the 4th guy on the PK with Brodie/Holl/Muzzin.

I'd be fine doing 11-7 and using Sandin as a PP specialist but... 11-7 in a back to back is rough for your forwards.

wtf back to back to start the season?

NHL is a freakin' JOKE

and as is the case EACH AND EVERY YEAR, the Leafs have the most back to back games in comparison to at least the habs and the sens, with more games facing these 2 teams on the second night than they do against us.

Many here don't believe me when I bring this up each year, or simply brush it aside saying it all balances out. But trust me, it doesn’t. We always get the short end of the stick. EACH YEAR!

For example:
This year, the habs have “0” games against us where they are play the second night of the back to back.
Whereas us, we have 2 games against them where we play them the second night of the back to back.
They have 12 back to back games throughout the season vs. 14 for us.

For a change this year, both we and the sens are even at 1 each, where we lay each other the second night of a back to back.
But again , and similar to the habs, the sens also have 12 back to back games throughout the season vs. 14 for us.

Now I don’t wante come a cross as a cry baby, but ffs, why each year?!!! WTF!
