Kazakhstan easily have the best names. How could you not like a name like Krasnoslobodtsev? :sarcasm:

I guess it is a compounded name.

Krasno stands for red.
Slobod may be the root of a name : Slobodan
tsev would be a qualifying particle (woman would be tseva)

Red Slobodan : i must say that i like that name as well. (hopefully he is not that spectacular though )

Should be a win for us ... yet i don't know how easy/difficult it will be.

Sui 4 - 2 Kazakhstan
Amen

PS what the hell of a poll ? who's the "farmer" who writes that ?

surprise, surprise, Simpson registers Hollenstein, Bieber and Rubin as Forwards and Seger, Von Gunten. So Monnet is not playing today, Bieber is probably centering the third line with Rüthemann and Hollenstein.

I remember team Kazaktshan from 98 olympics.. They were atleast those times a classical "hack and slash" / "hook and ride" or "when you run out of skill, just add muscles" team.

Some time ago (in 2004, 05 or/and 06) in the WC's the team's goalie was still a good old-fashioned 100% stand up goalie. It seemed kinda silly and he stood out*from the other goaltenders so I cheered for them.

Let's go underdogs!

*Pun intended

Slobodan means "free man".

So, it's "Red Free-Man Man".

I'm pretty sure his father just made it up.:sarcasm:

it's in fact derived from sloboda which means a suburban settlement, so krasnoslobodets is one from the Red sloboda, and -tsev is a sign of a possessive adjective, so Krasnoslobodtsev is a son or descendant of the Red sloboda dweller.
