The games against Kazakhs have always been close, but we usually end up winning in the end.

If it wasn't for the Swedish goaltender going AWOL, I would probably have some extra reservations in saying that, because there's a very solid Canadian defensive pairing and a few talented KHL guys on their roster, which could spell trouble if we struggle with scoring.

Being on the PK can bite us in the ass, too.

But I expect us to win 3-2, 4-2

We look like 1A level team so far.
Apart from the Abols line and the goalie, yes.

They should probably reshuffle the lines and play Abols on 2 lines. This isn't a game we can afford to lose.

This feels almost like a coin toss to me at this point.

We actually miss Batna. At least he provided some structure and energy.

Def a coin- unless we pick it up. I dont want to rely this shit show to only missing batna -perhaps we are just unable to play as favs

We are the type of team that can win/lose to everyone at any given time
This time around I think it's more a story about group B - seven teams that can win/lose to almost everyone

Either way - purely skill wise - we are better and should be better. Hope it picks up on the ice

Skill wise- no doubt. Even chemistry and coaching should be in our favour.
I've no idea how did you came up with that statement watching this game. Kazakhs are a lot more active, faster, passing better, shooting more and we are not showing any skill advantage at all.
