Gr could be one of the worst teams in the AHL. Goaltending sucks but still, that’s why I’m not too hot on bringing Nelson in when blash goes (unless wings turn into cup contenders during these last 3-4 months)

You do realize the Griffins won the AHL championship last season, right?

Yep. Blash did it as well.

I guess these AHL championship coaches suck, too.

Columbus - John Tortorella
Colorado - Jared Bednar
Edmonton - Todd McLellan
Minnesota - Bruce Boudreau
Nashville - Peter Laviolette
Tampa Bay - John Cooper
Washington - Barry Trotz

Griffins shouldnt be this bad. I know most of it is goaltending and you can’t coach that but still.

Also I don’t think a single one of those coaches have won a single cup (besides torts) So that doesn’t really help your point

Really hard to give a shit about goals for Tangradi, Ford, Puempel and McIlrath.
Jesus.
Is there anything left to care about in GR? Hronek maybe?

And what about next year?
Cholowski and Givani Smith? Sambrook, perhaps? Maybe Chase Pearson (though he still hasn't scored yet).

Any idea why Hronek has slowed down?

Hronek has caught with fans here in Grand Rapids call Brendan Smith"itis". A d-man who thinks and acts like a forward and forgets to go back and play defense (his primary position).

Hronek has been replaced by Saarijarvi on the Griffins #1 pp unit on the point. Hronek has made too many mistakes lately at the point on the power play to where Nelson has taken him off there for now. Saarijarvi has filled in nicely since his recall from Toledo and I do not see him going back to Toledo anytime soon.

Svechnikov 5 points in 27 games. Yikes....

Svech needs to spend a week or two in Toledo to get his confidence back. Playing better in the corners, but taking foolish penalties and is gun shy to shoot the puck in the offensive end. You can see the fustration more and more each game.

Are people still hyped for him? He's not even a good junior player.
