He would certainly help our D corps, the question is price. NJ can't afford to be giving up anything worthwhile for a 35 year old D.

I'd think Edmonton, Calgary, or Winnipeg is #1 on most lists. Buffalo is... Buffalo but it's like a 2-3 hour drive from Toronto.

Most likely the case. LA definitely needs a veteran left-handed defenseman. Since he only has one year left, if he doesn’t get to choose where he wants to go, it makes sense to at least hope to go to someone with a better chance of winning. Anaheim and San Jose definitely aren’t looking for veteran defensemen.

The only advantage is if they're a coke-head who wants to chase tail of vapid aspiring actresses who only want to know what car you drive, or what neighborhood you live in.

You realise that NHL players get laid in EVERY city. Including the ones they visit.
It's not a "special" thing that happens only in places like LA.


Goligoski is 35 and is married with 2 Kids.

For most people in his situation, the location you they'd likely prefer has more to do with what's best for their family. And there are far better places to raise your kids than in LA.

LA is a wonderful place to be rich and has a vast array of private education choices rivaled by few places. You are just way off base here.

Depends on what you want man.

I lived there for 2 years, and I hated every second of it. I did pretty well for myself and I hated it.
Several of my colleagues made millions in their mid-20's and still couldn't wait to get out of there.

The people are shallow, the schools aren't safe, and you're stuck in traffic all the f***ing time.
Yes I had colleague who was addicted to coke and married a porn-star.
(It's actually a funny story in hindsight than any kind of positive portrayal of LA).


Saying its huge is a massive understatement. My ex-girlfriend lived 2 hours away from me IN THE SAME f***ING CITY.
Burbank to San Pedro took me a 2 hour drive at 11:30pm on Thursday.

Oh you lived in Burbank. Now I understand.

I don't get it.

Every single documentary you watch, all they ever talk about is how much they loved playing shinny with their friends, had to fight with their parents to get off the ice, talk about how the cold helped forge them and make them who they were as players, and how they embraced and love the sport and culture.

Most hockey players grew up with winters, and loved every second of it.

I'm not even a hockey player and I missed the 4 seasons when I lived in LA.
I was successful and in my 20's, and meeting hot girls in those korean booking clubs.

I don't really understand why all of these guys who made a living out of their love of winter, all want to be away from the snow, and take every opportunity to poke fun of it.

That was when they were kids. Things change as you age. Also they play hockey professionally all the time. I think they value their spare time and prefer other things.
