I bet Scrivens will start. Not because Reimer has been the problem, although he has not been the solution either, just have to give him a bit of a timeout.

One player alone will never be the only solution. Reimer was not the reason they lost the last game.

If you give timeouts to players who don't deserve it; you start sending the wrong message. Holzer and Grabovski need a timeout.

I don't know how much longer I can staunchly support Carlyle. I was a big advocate of hiring him and replacing Rotten Ronnie when Anaheim fired Randy, but he keeps trying to force something that is not there.

Forcing Holzer on the first pairing and forcing Kostka on the second pairing and PP won't make them good players. Holzer won't magically erase all of his defensive flaws in one night. Kostka won't magically become a solid 2-way PMD either. I have hope that Holzer will be a decent d-man in the future, but Kostka won't amount to anything more imo.

How much longer can somebody keep trying to force something that doesn't work?

That quote about insanity that someone posted earlier was great and fits this to a T.

I was just trying to say that Reims has not been as sharp as he could be lately. He might need a bit of a rest for a game to regroup.

I'd say that based on how bad the Leafs played last game and the emotional late game rally by the Pens versus Boston, Pens come out slow and Leafs lead 2-0 ten minutes into the game.

1. Odds are Carlyle goes with his same crew on the back end. He has this absurd logic that you must be big and physical to play on the blueline, when really I think both are overhyped. Today's game is all about speed, you need to outskate or at least keep up with the opponent, and lets face it our blueline is slow as molass'es.

2. Crosby only got 1a last game, Phaneuf did an excellent job containing him, of all the issues last game vs pens it wasn't Crosby.

3. I can't see Gardiner being called up, but Carlyle SHOULD put in Liles/Komi and take out Holzer/Kostka.

Btw Crosby did not do much against the Bruines and were set to lose after the firt two periods but found a way to beat the big bad Bruins.

Wednesday's Practice Lines

Forwards:

van Riemsdyk - Bozak - Kessel
McClement - Grabovski - Kulemin
MacArthur - Kadri - Frattin
McLaren - Komarov - Orr
Steckel

Defence:

Phaneuf - Holzer
Gunnarsson - Kostka
Fraser - Franson
Liles - Komisarek

Goaltenders:

Reimer
Scrivens

**** Bozak. I have literally started to hate him. He hardly ever passes to JVR always looking for his bud ``Hello Kitty boxer wearing Phil the ``girl`` Kessel`` And he hardly ever takes the shot. Damn man, the whole league knows you are gonna pass to your bud and they have him covered. Man up and shoot the damn puck forget out your bud or even pass to JVR FFS

Grabovski is frustated:
"I make plays. I make a lot of plays. And I had a chance to score goals, work hard, harder than probably right now."

http://www.tsn.ca/toronto/blogs/jonas_siegel/?id=418120

Ofcourse he is frustrated. He is an offensive minded player not a damn checker. Its like asking a neurosurgeon to lead a heart transplant. HELL NO!!!!

They are specialist in their fileds and work accordingly. Unfortunately, the coach doesnt seem to get it. He is following the rotten ronnie module by playing Bozan on the first line. That is it!!!! STOP!!! It hasnt gotten us to playoffs in the last 3 seasons. If, god forbid, we are to miss the playoffs again I would like to see Grabo on the first line instead of the POS called Bozak.

Honestly sick of Grabo being a checker. He has lost his mojo playing the checking game. The coach seems to have gotten senile no wonder he was fired.

Leafs have won 15 games in 27 games. Sens have won 13 and have more points..

Carlyle...fix your damn defense. At least get loser points when you lose.

I still say put Komisarek in there on RD with Phaneuf. He's a veteran guy and can stay at home and clear the front of the net. It would have to be better then developing Holzer on the top pairing....he needs to be a 6/7 D until he gets his feet wet.
